Peripheral neuropathy treatment in Manly.

Manly Foot Clinic in North Manly, NSW, assesses and treats peripheral Neuropathy for patients across the Northern Beaches and North Shore. Nerve damage causing numbness, tingling, burning or loss of feeling in the feet, most often linked to diabetes.

What Is Peripheral Neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy is damage to the nerves that carry feeling to and from the feet. It often starts as tingling, burning or pins and needles in the toes, and can progress to numbness. Diabetes is the most common cause, but it can also follow vitamin B12 deficiency, heavy alcohol use, chemotherapy and other conditions. Loss of feeling means cuts, blisters and pressure areas can go unnoticed, so regular checks matter. Assessment measures sensation, vibration and reflexes in the feet. Care focuses on protecting the feet with footwear, orthoses, skin and nail care, and education, working with your GP on the underlying cause.

Peripheral Neuropathy FAQs

No, you can book directly without a referral. If you’d like, we’ll send a short report to your GP after your appointment so your foot care stays part of your overall health record. If your appointment is through a Medicare care plan, DVA or another funded program, you will need a referral, so check with us when you book.

If your policy includes podiatry, yes. All major private health funds recognise the clinic, and podiatry is covered under extras rather than hospital cover. How much you get back depends on your level of extras and how much of your annual limit you’ve already used. Bring your health fund card and we can process your claim on the spot, so you only pay the gap. For an exact figure, ask your fund for the rebate on the specific service before your appointment. We can give you the item number to quote.
